Interview with Mission 360

February 26, 2015 by Tim Madding

Recently I was asked to share my thoughts on church planting with Gary Krause, Director of Adventist Mission for the television show, Mission 360.  Though I only had a small segment of the larger, one-hour program, I was able to talk a little bit about what I am doing at the Beltsville Seventh-day Adventist Church.

I thought I'd share this video interview with you.

Why?  Well, the first and obvious reason is because it's about mission- and that's what this website is all about.   I will always share anything I can to encourage you in mission.  I think this applies.

Secondly, this will mark the addition of new resources on Missional Church Leadership related to Church Planting and Multi-site Churches.

As most of you know, my calling is to lead the Beltsville Church in planting numerous churches in the area.  The church has chosen to embrace the biblical principle of multiplication- not to just sustain itself, but to share that blessing with others by sending groups out to start new congregations focusing on fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ.

To learn about my transition from Ministerial Director in Pennsylvania to Church Planter in Silver Spring, MD to Lead Pastor of Beltsville Church read this previous post.

In addition to providing helpful resources on mission, I will begin sharing more resources on church planting and multi-site churches.

Not only do I believe that the local church is the primary means of reaching the world for Jesus, I believe that church planting is the most successful means of evangelism (more about that forth-coming).

So I will begin taking time to share what we are doing at Beltsville Church and push you to consider stepping out to do the same.

Until then, enjoy this short video on church planting.
